ANNOUNCEMENT

The Organizing Committees cordially invites you to participate in the 12th Latin American Conference on Physical Organic Chemistry (CLAFQO-12), to be held in Foz do Iguaçu, PR, Brazil, from April 7 - 12, 2013. CLAFQO-12 is the single most important Latin-American Conference for chemists active in physical organic chemistry and reactivity. Following the precedent set by previous conferences in the series, in Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Brazil, the scientific programme will consist of lectures presented by invited speakers, oral communications and poster sessions. We anticipate a highly stimulating conference, in the quiet, spectacular and pleasant surroundings of Foz de Iguaçu, attended by scientists from both Hemispheres.

The Journal of the Physical Organic Chemistry also will devote a special issue to CLAFQO-12. The Conferences provide an excellent opportunity to present the important advances that have occurred in the area of physical organic chemistry, exchange ideas in both, formal and informal ways, and renew personal contacts with friends and colleagues not only from Latin America, but from all over the world.

The present Conference will focus on the latest important advances in the field, and will offer further opportunities for the sort of high level discussions we have enjoyed over the thirty years since the First Conference in 1982.
